MetaMask is a browser-extension wallet that holds your crypto and signs transactions on Ethereum-based networks. You’ll need it to buy, view, and read your Stuff.io / Book.io media on Polygon. The official setup guide lives at support.metamask.io — that’s the source of truth if anything below looks out of date.
Quick browser-by-browser steps:
Chrome
- Visit metamask.io and click Download.
- Click Install MetaMask for Chrome. You’ll be sent to the Chrome Web Store.
- Click Add to Chrome, then Add extension on the pop-up.
MetaMask opens automatically once installed. To pin it to your toolbar, click the jigsaw icon in the top-right and click the pin next to MetaMask.
Firefox
- Visit metamask.io and click Download.
- Click Install MetaMask for Firefox, then Add to Firefox in the new window.
- Click Add on the pop-up.
Heads up: the Firefox listing shows the publisher as “danfinlay, kumavis” — that’s expected; they’re MetaMask core maintainers.
Brave
- Visit metamask.io and click Download.
- Click Install MetaMask for Chrome — Brave shares the Chrome Web Store, so this is correct.
- Click Add to Brave, then Add extension on the pop-up.
Next step
Once MetaMask is installed and you’ve finished its setup wizard, head to How do I buy a digital media? to connect your wallet and make your first purchase.
