Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra (1547–1616) was a Spanish writer, novelist, and playwright, primarily known as the author of "Don Quixote." Born in Alcalá de Henares, Spain, Cervantes is considered one of the most prominent figures in Spanish and world literature. In addition to "Don Quixote," he wrote numerous works, including novels, poems, and theatrical pieces. His contribution to literature has left a lasting impact, and he is recognized as the "father of the modern novel." Cervantes passed away in Madrid in 1616.
