Author - Henry M. Stanley

Sir Henry Morton Stanley (1841–1904) was a Welsh-American explorer and journalist who became famous for locating Dr. David Livingstone in Africa. Born John Rowlands in Wales, he emigrated to the United States as a young man. Stanley completed multiple expeditions that mapped central Africa and documented its geography and peoples. He also served as a British Member of Parliament and received a knighthood in recognition of his contributions to exploration.
