Charlie Stratford-Rex is the pen name of Broadside’s co-author. Charlie is a former pirate radio DJ, producer and journalist who has been published in 20 countries. His previous best-selling book on decentralized culture, The Pirate’s Dilemma, hit the #1 spot on Amazon on both the economics and hip hop bestseller lists, at the same time. He is sometimes confused for the third Broadside co-founder Matt Mason, a decentralized technology veteran who also worked at RWD, and went on to hold leadership positions at BitTorrent, Sony Pictures, Kraken and Palm NFT Studio, but they are definitely, definitely, definitely not the same person.
