Fue publicado por primera vez en 1886 por la editorial C. G. Naumann de Leipzig a expensas del propio autor y traducido por primera vez al ingl\u00e9s por Helen Zimmern, que era dos a\u00f1os m\u00e1s joven que Nietzsche y conoc\u00eda al autor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seg\u00fan el traductor Walter Kaufman, el t\u00edtulo se refiere a la necesidad de que la filosof\u00eda moral vaya m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la moralizaci\u00f3n simplista en blanco y negro, contenida en afirmaciones como \"X es bueno\" o \"X es malo\". Al principio del libro (2), Nietzsche ataca la idea misma de utilizar t\u00e9rminos estrictamente opuestos como \"el Bien contra el Mal\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En M\u00e1s all\u00e1 del bien y del mal, Nietzsche acusa a los fil\u00f3sofos del pasado de carecer de sentido cr\u00edtico y de aceptar ciegamente premisas dogm\u00e1ticas en su consideraci\u00f3n de la moralidad. En concreto, les acusa de fundar grandes sistemas metaf\u00edsicos sobre la fe de que el hombre bueno es lo opuesto al hombre malo, en lugar de s\u00f3lo una expresi\u00f3n diferente de los mismos impulsos b\u00e1sicos que encuentran una expresi\u00f3n m\u00e1s directa en el hombre malo.
