Murder! (1930)
Murder! (1930) is a British mystery thriller directed by Alfred Hitchcock, notable as one of his early sound films. The story follows a juror, played by Herbert Marshall, who becomes convinced that a woman convicted of murder is innocent and takes it upon himself to investigate the case after the trial ends. What makes the film especially interesting is Hitchcock’s early experimentation with sound, including internal monologue and innovative audio techniques that were still new at the time.
