    The Quran, also known as Qur’an or Koran, is Islam’s central religious text, believed by Muslims to be a direct revelation from God.

    Composed of 114 chapters (suwar), containing verses (ayat), the Quran covers various aspects of life, providing guidance on matters of faith, morality, law, and personal conduct. It is revered as the ultimate source of authority for Muslims and serves as the foundation of Islamic theology and jurisprudence.

    Muslims hold that the Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad over 23 years by God through the archangel Gabriel, starting at Laylat al-Qadr when Muhammad was 40 and concluding in 632, the year of his death.

    The Quran is recited and memorized by millions of Muslims worldwide, and its teachings are fundamental to the practice of Islam.
