What lies before you is the result of two decades of inner turmoil and personal experience—an Iranian’s journey from the dawn of youth to the present moment—poured onto the page bilingually with a touch of passion and a modest dose of talent, in the form of poetry and literary prose.

Though the dominant tone is romantic, scattered throughout are glimpses of mysticism and philosophical musings. And particularly in light of present circumstances, a piece written with a socio-political lens concludes this collection, offered as a heartfelt confession to the reader—whoever they may be.

More than anything, the hope remains that what is traditionally called “art” may, through these humble words, spark a reflection in the reader’s heart.
