The Hebrew Tanakh, also known simply as the Tanakh or the Hebrew Bible, is the canonical collection of sacred texts in Judaism. It consists of three main sections:

1. Torah (תּוֹרָה): The first five books of Moses, also known as the Pentateuch. These books are Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.
2. Nevi’im (נְבִיאִים): The Prophets, which include historical narratives and the messages of various prophets. This section contains books like Joshua, Judges, Samuel, Kings, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and the Twelve Minor Prophets.
3. Ketuvim (כְּתוּבִים): The Writings, a collection of various literary works, including poetry, wisdom literature, and historical narratives. Some of the books in this section are Psalms, Proverbs, Job, Song of Solomon, Ruth, Lamentations, Ecclesiastes, Esther, Daniel, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Chronicles.

The organization and content of the Tanakh are central to Jewish religious and cultural identity.
